مخرج سوداني، ولد عام 1958 بالخرطوم، ثم درس بالقاهرة وتخرج من المعهد العالي للسينما قسم مونتاج عام 1982، ثم بدأ مسيرته الفنية بالعمل كمساعد مخرج بفيلمي (البرنس، صديقي الوفي) عام 1984، قبل أن يخوض تجربة اﻹخراج منفرداً من خلال فيلم (الحب في الثلاجة) عام 1992، لتتوالى بعدها أعماله والتي من أبرزها (شورت وفانلة وكاب، طباخ الريس، هانم بنت باشا).
