مؤلف مصري، تخرج من كلية الفنون الجميلة قسم عمارة، ثم اتجه بعدها لدراسة الجرافيك، وبعد ذلك عمل فترة بالتدريس بالجامعة الأمريكية، لتبدأ علاقته بالسينما من خلال تأليف فيلم (ألف مبروك) عام 2009 بالاشتراك مع شقيقه الكاتب والمخرج محمد دياب، ليشارك بعدها في العديد من الأعمال من أبرزها ( الجزيرة 2، بلبل حيران، اشتباك).
