مخرج ومنتج مصري، مواليد 21 أغسطس عام 1929. حصل علي دبلوم التجارة عام 1950، بدأ حياته الفنية مساعد مخرج مع عدد من المخرجين منذ عام 1951، منهم: (أحمد كامل مرسي، وعزالدين الفقار، ومحمود ذو الفقار). سافر إلى سوريا عام 1970، وأخرج هناك عددا من الأفلام منها: (جسر الأشرار - امرأة تسكن وحدها عام 1971- وشباب في محنة). وعمل منتج لعدد من اﻷفلام. توفي في 16 أبريل 2007 بعد صراع مع مرض.
