مخرج مصري، وكاتب سيناريو، ومهندس ديكور، من أصل سوري، كانت بداياته كممثل، حين سافر إلى الولايات المتحدة في الثلاثييات، ومثل ادوارًا صغيرة في الأفلام الأمريكية، قام بتنفيذ مناظر فيلم (شهر العسل) عام 1945، عمل مساعد مخرج في العديد من الأفلام منها (عفريته هانم) 1949، (حبيب العمر) 1946، (شاطئ الغرام) عام 1950، عاد إلى بيروت في بداية الستينيات، وأخرج العديد من الأفلام بين دمشق، ولبنان.
