كنعان حمد، ممثل ومخرج كويتي، ولد في منطقة شرق بالكويت في عام 1945. تخرج من المعهد العالي للفنون المسرحية في عام 1977، وظل عضوًا بفرقة المسرح العربي طيلة حياته. قام كنعان حمد باﻹخراج والتمثيل في العديد من المسرحيات، منها: (مطلوب زوج حالًا، عشاق حبيبة، نورة، رحلة حنظلة، جنون البشر). توفى في عام 2003.
