فنان من اصول افريقية ولد فى جبال بلو ريدج أندرسون، ولاية كارولينا الجنوبية من اب يعمل بالتنجيد وام ممرضة , ثم التحق بجامعة " هاورد " وتخرج منها وبدء فى مهنته كمخرج وممثل حيث اخرج العديد من الأفلام القصيرة وساهم فى بعض الأفلام كممثل مثل " The Kill Hole " و " 42 " و " Draft Day " و "Gods of Egypt " بالأضافة الى اطلالته بعالم " مارفيل " بشخصية " Black Panther " فى فيلمى " Captain America: Civil War " وفيلم اخر يحمل نفس اسم الشخصية . عمل في (فيلم Avengers: Endgame[2019] فيلم Avengers: Infinity War[2018] فيلم Captain America: Civil War[2016] فيلم Black Panther[2018] فيلم Gods of Egypt[2016]). رحل في عام 2020 بعد صراع مع سرطان القولون.
