ممثل مصري من مواليد عام ١٩٤٢، وتخرج في قسم التاريخ بكلية الآداب. عمل في البداية في الفرقة القومية للفنون الشعبية، ثم بدأ التمثيل منذ أواخر الستينات بعد أن اكتشفه يوسف شاهين وقدمه من خلال فيلم (فجر يوم جديد)، وشارك فيما بعد في الكثير من الأعمال منها: (الإختيار)، (العصفور)، (إسكندرية ليه؟)، (حدوتة مصرية)، (المصير)، و(سرقات صيفية)، (مرسيدس)، (كونشرتو في درب سعادة).
