Al Ekhteyar 3 Al Qarar

Landing during Ramadan 2022 like a cinematic thunderclap, 'Al Ekhteyar 3: Al Qarar' (The Choice: The Decision) plunges viewers into the white-hot crucible of Egypt’s most tumultuous modern chapter: the 2012–2013 presidency of the Muslim Brotherhood's Mohamed Morsi and the countdown to the June 30 mass protests. Operating across three interconnected fronts—General Intelligence, Military Intelligence, and Homeland Security—the series follows top operatives navigating clandestine terror plots, geopolitical maneuvering, and internal civil collapse. Rather than settling for standard procedural tropes, director Peter Mimi marshals the absolute titans of Arab blockbuster cinema—Ahmed El Sakka, Karim Abdel Aziz, and Ahmed Ezz—creating an Egyptian 'Avengers' of national security. Yet the drama's truest lightning rod is Yasser Galal’s eerie, transformative performance as then-Defense Minister Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, turning boardroom stalemates and midnight ultimatums into genuinely nail-biting television.
