Foreign Knot

Fares is an ambitious young man fighting his way out of economic precarity with sharp wit and street-level resourcefulness. When he lands a position in a corporate powerhouse, his world collides with Sally, the spirited daughter of a ruthless and influential tycoon. What begins as a classic Egyptian cross-class romance quickly escalates into a dangerous cat-and-mouse game when Fares uncovers dirty dealings at the top of the food chain. Helmed by Peter Mimi right before his blockbuster explosion with films like 'Casablanca,' the movie shifts dynamically between romantic banter and frantic foot chases. With heavy-hitting character actors balancing the absurdity and tension, Fares must outsmart crooked executives and musclebound enforcers just to stay alive and clear his name.
